Myles McDonald, our resident composer, has a BMus-Hons in Composition and Arrangement from UCT specialising in jazz and classical composition. Myles is also a performing musician playing in rock-reggae band 7th Son.
With 7th son Myles has performed at Rocking the Daisies, OppiKoppi, Splashy Fen, Up The Creek and many dark, smoky venues around the country. 7th Son is signed to Muskateer Records, the same label that signed and launched Seether.
Myles also spent 3 years in Papua New Guinea taming wild hunting-squirrels.

Ross McDonald, composer and music producer, also has a Bmus-Hons in Jazz Performance from UCT. Ross plays in the Rudimentals and Hog Hoggidy Hog (and has played in many more bands) and has toured Europe on 3 occasions, toured with UB40 and played every major music festival in South Africa. Ross has played in the North Sea Jazz Festivals both locally and at its home in Holland and has done such varied work as play in Orchestras backing major SA stars at the Sun City Superdome, Abdullah Ibrahim’s Cape Town jazz orchestra, and much like his brother, played all the seedy clubs that this country has to offer.
As a producer, Ross has done 4 full-length albums for the Rudimentals, Captain Stu and 7th Son and is looking forward to producing with Reggae superstar, the Mad Professor, on the latest Rudimentals album.
Ross also moonlights on the side in the circus industry as a sword…for sword-swallowers.

Allan McDonald is our boss…
Allan has 35 years of experience in the ad industry. He helped found the Cape Town branch of Hunt Lascarus TBWA and had his own agency, The Gap, for many years before deciding, “Baby! I wanna be in a band!”.
